DR. RENE ROY

OURANOS CONSORTIUM

Dr. René Roy holds a doctorate in Water Sciences from the Institut National de la  Recherche Scientifique (INRS-ETE). He currently holds the position of Director, Scientific Program at Ouranos, after having coordinated the Energy Resources program. M. Roy has made a career at Hydro-Québec, first has hydrometeorologist in charge of the hydrometeorological data validation and hydrological forecasting group, this expertise being valued in the context of activities at the international scale. Since Ouranos' creation in 2001, Mr. Roy coordinated Hydro-Québec actions at the consortium as well has being in charge the Climatology Project at Hydro-Québec Research Institut (IREQ). He maintains close collaborative scientific research links with academic communities, thanks to his position of Adjunct Professor at the Université du Québec à Montréal and at INRS-ETE.
