DR. WEI SONG

Wei Song received the Ph.D. degree in electrical and computer engineering from the University of Waterloo, Waterloo, ON, Canada, in 2007. From 2008 to 2009, she was a Postdoctoral Research Fellow with the Department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Sciences, University of California, Berkeley, CA, USA. In 2009, she joined the Faculty of Computer Science, University of New Brunswick, Fredericton, NB, Canada, where she is now an Associate Professor. She received a Best Paper Award from IEEE International Conference on Communications (ICC) in 2018, a UNB Merit Award in 2014, a Best Student Paper Award from IEEE Consumers Communications & Networking Conference (CCNC) in 2013, a Top 10% Award from IEEE Workshop on Multimedia Signal Processing (MMSP) in 2009, an NSERC postdoctoral fellowship in 2008, and a Best Paper Award from IEEE Wireless Communications & Networking Conference (WCNC) in 2007. Her current research interests include but not limited to Internet of Things, AI and machine learning applications to networking, mobile edge computing, and fog computing.
